One Saturday my creative friend Sugi called me and we had a conversation like this:
S.: Hey, I need your help with drawing some pictures on the wall in a Chinese restaurant. It opens in a few days so it's kinda urgent.
Me: Well... I'm not sure I can do this. I didn't paint the wall since 2003. :)
S.: It's ok we just get together, brainstorm and hopefully do something really quick and simple in one day.
Me: Oh, ok I guess... Let's meet Sunday and think of it. I will ask Polina (our illustrator friend) if she wants to join.
I'll drop all the details. So at the end, that's what we have:
- 3 creative minds involved
- 5 full days working on the wall
- 3 large walls painted
- A dozen or black markers used
- 5 acrylic paint tubes
- 2 buckets of wall paint (unfinished)
- A couple of t-shirts covered with red stains (not blood, but paint)
I really loved working with our small creative gang. And I found out I enjoy painting the walls :) Who would know? There's a strange feeling of satisfaction when you just spread the pink paint over the wall.
